UNSG expected at Cyprus talks next Friday

first_imgSecretary general of the United Nations Antonio Guterres is expected to attend the Conference on Cyprus in Crans-Montana on June 30, a well informed source within the UN told the Cyprus News Agency.It remains unknown however, how long he will stay at the talks and how deeply he will become involved in them.The same source said this round of talks is expected to last for “around ten days”.The talks will begin on June 28 and are scheduled to start in the morning with security and guarantees, while in the afternoon talks will begin on other chapters.Greece and Turkey will be represented by their foreign ministers and a deputy minister will attend from the UK.
