Chittoor: With an objective of municipal school students achieving cent per cent result in SSC exams, the Chittoor Municipal Corporation (CMC) Commissioner C Obulesu has proposed to engage Abacus teachers on contract basis. The civic chief was apprised of several students were failing in mathematics despite having required infrastructure and trained teachers. The Commissioner made a surprise visit to municipal high school in Santhapet on Thursday. He interacted with the headmaster and teachers and asked them as to why students are failing in maths subject only. He informed teachers that there is a serious proposal to recruit Abacus teachers in all the municipal high schools on contract basis.
