Statewide — The Indiana State Department of Health (ISHD) has reported that 720 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 on Wednesday. A total of 101,485 Indiana residents have tested positive for the coronavirus. To date, 1,158,018 individual tests have been reported to ISDH at an 8.8% positive rate and 17 new deaths were reported for a total of 3,173 Hoosier deaths. Dearborn County has a total of 596 cases and 28 deaths reported (up 3 new cases), Decatur County has a total of 433 positive cases and 38 deaths (up 3 new cases), Franklin County has 283 positive cases and 25 deaths (up 1 new case), and Ripley County has 256 positive cases and 8 deaths (up 3 new cases). Locally, this is an increase of 10 new positive cases.During Governor Eric Holcomb’s weekly briefing it was announced that officials estimate almost 78,000 Hoosiers have recovered from COVID-19.
