Ondřej loves nature and forests. Before having children he led a life of a modern nomad. He owned a site in the middle of the woods and always dreamt about building a cabin there. During winter he used to live in the city and in spring he relocated to his parents’ cabin nearby the future building site of the house LO. He wanted his house to be connected to the surrounding nature, to be ecological, and to have his own photo chamber there, to spend his winter evenings developing his photos.Save this picture!© BoysPlayNiceSave this picture!Ground Floor PlanSave this picture!© BoysPlayNiceHe also had a clear idea about the building material. As hempcrete has never been used as a building material in the Czech Republic, it was a great challenge for me as an architect. First struggles evolved in a valuable experience and fascination with its features and its history. Building with hempcrete is easy and allows the builder to build their house on their own. Material is petrifying for several years and draws carbon dioxide from the air around during this process. Hempcrete has great insulating features, is recyclable and also resistant to pests, fire and molds.Save this picture!© BoysPlayNiceHouse LO is defined by three elements: two perforated stones and a thin wooden sheet. The void in between the stones is the living space of the house. It is separated from the surrounding nature by large sliding windows that allow the space to become part of the outdoors and frame picturesque views. The two stones contain entrance, two bedrooms and a bathroom. The house has a cellar with technical facilities, photo chamber, club room and storage.Save this picture!© BoysPlayNiceA large terrace runs around the house, being protected from bad weather by the roof overhang, so that the owner can spend as much time outside as possible. The roof is covered with a green carpet, so that the house merges with nature and is well insulated. The layout of the house is designed to use its space to the fullest. The house will gradually become part of the nature. First it will be a home to a family with two children, later become a family summer retreat and even later a comfortable home for an elderly couple.Save this picture!© BoysPlayNiceProject gallerySee allShow lessTortosa Law Courts / Camps Felip ArquitecturiaSelected ProjectsHeatherwick Studio Unveils Pair of Curvaceous Towers for VancouverArchitecture News Share “COPY”center_img Area:  195 m² Year Completion year of this architecture project ShareFacebookTwitterPinterestWhatsappMailOrhttps://www.archdaily.com/955757/house-lo-atelier-lina-bellovicova Clipboard Projects Architects: Ateliér Lina Bellovičová Area Area of this architecture project House LO / Ateliér Lina BellovičováSave this projectSaveHouse LO / Ateliér Lina Bellovičová Photographs:  BoysPlayNice Manufacturers Brands with products used in this architecture project CopyHouses•Velehrad, Czech Republic ShareFacebookTwitterPinterestWhatsappMailOrhttps://www.archdaily.com/955757/house-lo-atelier-lina-bellovicova Clipboard CopyAbout this officeAteliér Lina BellovičováOfficeFollowProductWood#TagsProjectsBuilt ProjectsSelected ProjectsResidential ArchitectureHousesOn FacebookVelehradCzech RepublicPublished on January 27, 2021Cite: “House LO / Ateliér Lina Bellovičová” 27 Jan 2021. Dutch regulator to survey costs of asset management

first_imgIt is also interested in how scheme boards factor in asset management costs to their investment decisions. The regulator made clear that its focus for mortgage investments would be on managing and estimating risk, including liquidity and credit risk as well as the risk of mortgages being paid off early.Pension funds must also show whether they are sufficiently familiar with the different ways of management, such as an investment fund and a collective mandate, the regulator said.DNB will also assess whether the interests of pension funds and providers are aligned.DNB explained that it wanted to gain an insight into how pension funds pay attention to digitalisation and IT risks as well as – in case of consolidation – transformation risk in their administration. The supervisor further said that it would select a number of pension funds and providers for self-assessment on their cyber security.Last year, a self-assessment of IT risk at the €18bn asset manager SPF Beheer revealed 33 areas for improvement. Dutch supervisor DNB is to scrutinise the costs of asset management and mortgage investments through on-site visits at pension funds and their asset managers. In a newsletter, it said that it would also assess the robustness of pensions administration and schemes’ cyber security measures.According to the watchdog, its surveys come in addition to its regular investigations into investments, governance, and business models.DNB said it wanted to get an insight into pension funds’ frameworks for establishing costs as well as their arrangements with their asset and fiduciary managers.last_img read more
