Robert Kraft rejecting prosecutors’ offer to drop solicitation charges, report says

According to court records, several of the men — including Kraft — have court appearances scheduled for next week.Palm Beach-based attorney Jack A. Goldberger pleaded not guilty on behalf of Kraft on Feb. 28 and requested he receive a non-jury trial.Kraft initially was scheduled to be appear in court April 24, but his arraignment has been moved up to March 27. Kraft, 77, was charged with two counts of soliciting a prostitute at a Jupiter, Florida, massage parlor as part of a larger sting operation in Palm Beach County.Charging affidavits claim that investigators have video of a man identified as Kraft paying for and involved in sex acts during two visits to the Orchids of Asia Day Spa on consecutive days in January, including one on the day of the Patriots’ AFC championship game against the Chiefs in Kansas City. Florida prosecutors have offered to drop charges against Patriots owner Robert Kraft and a number of other men charged with soliciting prostitution in Palm Beach County, according to the Wall Street Journal, which cited an unidentified person familiar with the matter. However, the reported offer comes with a catch: The men must admit they would have been found guilty had their cases gone to trial.
